Therapeutic Massage
Therapeutic Massage is a somewhat intense style of bodywork. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility. I use a combination of techniques, including trigger point therapy, myofascial release, positional release, and active and passive release techniques to achieve the goals of the session.
Soft Tissue Manual Therapy
Combination of manual therapy with corrective exercise to speed healing from acute or chronic injuries. Please bring a comfortable pair of shorts and a sports bra or tank top to wear. This is not a relaxation treatment. Client will be getting off and on the table during the session.
Myofascial Release
Myofascial release is a form of soft tissue therapy intended to eliminate pain, increase range of motion, and rebalance the entire body. I use an instrument called SCOUT tool to stretch the fascia and release the bonds that exist between the fascia, muscles and bones. Fascia is the connective tissue that connects and covers all muscles, organs, and skeletal structures of the body.
Cupping
Cupping is a tradition in traditional Chinese medicine that uses suction to separate the layers of muscle and fascia in the body. I use dynamic strokes to tease apart compacted and adhered tissues throughout the body. Static cupping can be effective over acupressure points to relieve tension.
